WAM Team Meets With H.E.L.P. Malawi Staff

Drs. Dewey and Bergman met with H.E.L.P. Malawi staff while in there last week. H.E.L.P. Malawi is an NGO that is making a huge positive impact on a rural community in Malawi near Liwonde National Park. They have built a top rate school allowing hundreds of children to attend school who previously could not. In addition, they have built a clinic that is in the finishing touches and will open soon. The clinic will provide primary care to the area along with maternity services. Until this clinic is operational local people must walk or boat to clinics far away making health care unobtainable to many.

Drs. Bergman and Dewey are convinced that this clinic will do great things for the community after visiting it first hand and seeing their successes in action. World Altering Medicine provided and will continue to provide medical & organizational consulting during the planning and opening of the clinic. In addition we are looking to place long term volunteers there who can assist with direct care and running of the clinic. More news items will follow as this progresses.

It is a beautiful area with lovely people who appreciate H.E.L.P. Malawi and World Altering Medicine.
