In one morning, three infants, ages 7 months, 9 months, and 11 months, all came to Kabudula Hospital with severe pneumonia. The clinical officer noted that, upon arrival, the infants were struggling to breathe, with their nostrils were flaring. One infant was grunting because he was struggling so hard to take breaths. All three infants were admitted to KCH and Immediately placed on Breath of Life Oxygen Therapy. Thankfully, WAM physicians had just brought a special splitter device to Kabudula that proved vital to saving the lives of these infants because it allowed all three babies to receive oxygen therapy at once. Fortunately all three infants recovered and were released.
